Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Uncle Pong's Thailand Holiday Estimator ("the Service", "we", "us", or "our"), available at thaiholidaybudget.com, handles information when you use it. The Service is operated by Genext Information Systems. We have built the Service to be private by design: it is a free, browser-based budgeting calculator that runs on your device, and we do not operate a back-end database that collects your inputs.

1. Summary

• We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or payment details.
• The figures you enter are stored only in your own browser (local storage) so your estimate is preserved between visits. They are not transmitted to us.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data, and we do not run advertising or third-party analytics.
• A small number of open-source assets are loaded from third-party content-delivery networks to make the page work.

2. Information we process

2.1 Information you enter

The estimator lets you enter details such as a nickname, number of travellers, destination, dates, currency, and various budget figures. This information is saved in your browser's local storage on your device. It stays there until you clear it. We do not receive or store it on any server we control.

2.2 Information collected automatically

We do not place analytics or tracking technologies on the Service. However, when your browser requests the page and its assets, your internet service provider and any third-party CDN (see Section 4) will, as a normal part of delivering web content, briefly process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. We do not control or retain this data.

2.3 Information we do not collect

We do not knowingly collect contact details, financial account information, location data, or any special categories of personal data.

3. How we use information

Because the information you enter never leaves your device, we do not use it for any purpose. Its sole function is to power the on-screen calculation and to remember your progress for your convenience. We do not profile, target, or contact you.

4. Third-party services

To keep the Service fast and lightweight, your browser loads a small number of open-source libraries and fonts from public content-delivery networks, currently:

• Tailwind CSS and Chart.js (via jsDelivr / Cloudflare) — for layout and the breakdown chart.
• Google Fonts — for typography.

When these assets are requested, the providers may process your IP address and request metadata under their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We do not embed advertising networks, social media trackers, or behavioural analytics.

5. Cookies and local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage for strictly functional purposes — saving your estimate and remembering your cookie-notice choice. Full details, and controls, are in our Cookie Policy and Cookie Settings.

6. Data retention

Because your data is stored locally, you control how long it is kept. It remains in your browser until you use the in-app "Reset" button, clear your browser's site data, or use a private/incognito window. We do not hold copies.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Because we do not hold your personal data on any server, you can exercise these rights directly and immediately: view, edit, export (PDF), or delete your information from within the Service itself. If you believe we hold personal data about you and wish to make a request, contact us using the details in Section 10.

8. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided information through any contact channel, please contact us so we can address it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Service or applicable law. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
