These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Uncle Pong's Thailand Holiday Estimator at thaiholidaybudget.com (the "Service"), operated by Genext Information Systems ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Important — estimates only. Every figure produced by the Service is a rough planning estimate based on general research compiled in mid-2026. Real prices vary by season, location, venue, exchange rate, demand, and how you travel. Nothing on this Service is a quotation, an offer, financial advice, or a guarantee of any price. Always confirm actual costs and current requirements before you commit money or travel.
1. Purpose of the Service
The Service is an informational and entertainment-oriented budgeting calculator for adults planning a trip to Thailand. It is designed to help you anticipate costs and avoid budget surprises. It does not recommend, arrange, facilitate, or broker any specific activity, vendor, booking, or transaction.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Not professional advice
The Service does not provide financial, legal, medical, travel, visa, insurance, or tax advice. Exchange rates, entry requirements (including the Thailand Digital Arrival Card and proof-of-funds rules), insurance norms, and local prices change frequently and without notice. You are responsible for verifying anything important with official and licensed sources. For example, submit your Thailand Digital Arrival Card only through the official government portal at tdac.immigration.go.th, which is free of charge.
4. Responsible and lawful conduct
You are solely responsible for your own decisions and conduct while travelling. You agree to comply with the laws of Thailand and any other applicable jurisdiction, to respect the rights, dignity, and consent of everyone you interact with, and to act responsibly with respect to alcohol and personal safety. The Service does not endorse or encourage any unlawful activity.
5. Accuracy and availability
We make reasonable efforts to keep the underlying research current but make no warranty that any figure is accurate, complete, or up to date. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Genext Information Systems and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of, or reliance on, the Service or its estimates — including, without limitation, budget overruns, missed savings, travel disruptions, or decisions made based on the output. You use the Service entirely at your own risk.
7. Intellectual property
"Uncle Pong" is a fictional, light-hearted persona created for the Service. The design, text, and original content of the Service are owned by Genext Information Systems and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from the Service without permission. Third-party libraries (such as Tailwind CSS and Chart.js) and fonts remain the property of their respective owners under their own licences.
8. Third-party links and services
The Service may reference or link to third-party websites and services for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party.
9. No affiliation
The Service is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Thai Ministry of Tourism and Sports, any government body, airline, hotel, or venue.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. The effective date above reflects the current version.
11. Governing approach and severability
These Terms are intended to be interpreted reasonably and in good faith. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
